When Pressure Reveals Precision
From Reset Sunday to real feedback—here's what I learned when the messy middle caught up with me.
I deadlifted 315 pounds this week. A personal record.

Days after running my fastest 5K. Back-to-back performance that stunned me—not just physically, but mentally.
Standing there in the gym, I had this realization:
"I think I've been holding myself back... I'm the strongest I've ever been in my life."
But the real breakthrough wasn't in the gym. It was sitting at my kitchen table on Sunday morning, looking at a $58 overdue LLC bill and lots of admin/life stuff piling up.
The "messy middle" of building something real had caught up with me.
Instead of ignoring it, I created something I'm calling Reset Sunday.

The View from Here
This was a week where pressure revealed precision. Where feedback became fuel. Where I learned that building foundations isn't glamorous—but it's everything.
I closed $33K in Purpose Design+Build projects with $14K in pipeline. Had deep bonding moments with my kids—Ranger rides, lake jumps, beach days. Ran through a thunderstorm with my glasses off, trusting my feet in the rain.
But I also got honest feedback from my wife that stung: I wasn't pulling my weight as a partner and parent the way I thought I was.
"I've learned how to create something out of nothing. That's freedom."
The difference this week? I didn't run from the hard stuff. I built systems around it.
What I'm Testing
Reset Sunday A 60-minute weekly ritual to handle the backend of my dreams:
Administrative life (LLCs, taxes, overdue bills)
Align the upcoming week with long-term goals
Recalibrate energy and nervous system
This wasn't born from productivity youtube porn. It was born from necessity—from realizing that hustle won't save your backend.
Slow Growth Strategy I shifted from exponential push to foundational refinement. Instead of trying to scale everything at once, I'm asking: "What would this look like if I had to sustain it for 10 years?"
Presence Practice I'm exploring what it means to feel everything without buffers - to stay present with discomfort instead of numbing or rushing through it.
"Regulating my nervous system is the new flex."
Feedback as Data, Not Attack When my wife gave me hard feedback about parenting and partnership, my first instinct was to defend. Instead, I listened. Used it to recalibrate my July plans. Realized there's more room for involvement—and that I need to bring people in, not do everything myself.
Vibe-First Sales That $33K came from relationships and resonance, not funnels. I'm learning to sell through presence, storytelling, and value. No hard pitching required.
Training as Identity I'm not just training for a marathon. Did I tell you I’m running in the NYC marathon in November? More on that…. I'm training for longevity. For the next 10 years. For a life worth preparing for.

Feedback is a mirror, not a moral failure. Use it to evolve, not to defend. The people closest to you see your blind spots most clearly.
Slow growth beats no growth. Choose foundational, intentional moves over explosive ones. Build for sustainability, not just scale.
